On June 19, Shen Yue and Hua Jia, respectively director of European & African Department and vice director of translation center from municipal FAO, Liang Qidong, vice dean of the International Education School from SPIA visited SVU for a meeting on international student management. Zhang Jian, vice president of SVU warmly welcomed the guests.

At first, the students from the Republic of the Congo talked about their study and life in SVU, and expressed their gratitude for the university. Although they have been learning Chinese for less than a year, they can make short conversations in Chinese.

Shen Yue said this visit is manly for exchanging practices and experience on international student management, aiming to lay a foundation for a further and better development of international student training programs and sister city work, and to build a more closely-related Sino African community with a shared future.

Liang Qidong and Tang Xiaojun, vice dean of the International College of SVU, exchanged views on international student management system and practices in terms of enrollment and teaching as well as life guidance during the epidemic prevention and control period.

Zhang Jian thanked FAO for their concern and support for SVU. He points out that in international student management, SVU strictly implements rules and regulations of higher authorities, constantly improves systems and practices and always promotes friendship between Chinese and foreign students. In the future, SVU will continue to explore and improve talent training system and practice under the guidance of FAO, and strengthen ties with other fellow universities to carry out national Belt and Road Initiative and further opening-up in education.
